In the 1898, the Mandalian Company in North Attleboro, Mass., began making mesh purses and cuff links. The company eventually began to specialize in colorful silver-plated mesh purses. Such purses reached their height of popularity in the 1920s and '30s. The chain fringe on this purse is characteristic of those made by Mandalian. Value for these examples is based on condition. This one could be worth as much as $175 if the enameled paint is in perfect condition, with all of the mesh and the chain fringe intact.
